Hey all! I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to why this is happening. You see, I have Microsoft Office 2007. Ever since a couple days ago, it's not been acting right. I can open already existing documents, but whenever I click on the Microsoft Word icon to start a new document, it doesn't open! It just sits there and does nothing. I wish I knew why it was doing this, but I am stumped. Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Hey

I have had some issues with Word 2007, and have ended up resetting it by deleting its settings from the registry key.
This is a little risky and you got to be sure you know what you're doing, but it is simple.
Type RegEdit in the search box (assuming you have Windows 7).
Then you are in the registry editor.
Look for programs, office12, (you expand by using the right arrow).
Once you find Microsoft Word inside the Office12 (it might be Office 13, can't remember), you can do alt-f or shift-f10.
First you need to export the settings (choose from the menu).
Type a name for the registry export (it will be a .reg file), and hit enter.
Now you have exported the current settings into a file, if all fails you can re import them by finding the file through Windows Explorer and hit enter on it.
Now that you have exported it, go to the context menu again and choose "delete".
Then open Word again. It should load its default settings and you should be rid for weird Word problems.
I have done this two or three times and it has often solved my issues.

Well, I've got XP, actually. Thanks, though. I'll figure it out somehow. Lol. Gonna ask my friend if he can help me.

All right. I'll give it a try, then. Thanks Leo!
